Scott Archibald BIO/CV

Scott is a versatile bassist, composer and producer.

Né et élevé à Vancouver en Colombie-Britannique, au Canada et vivant actuellement à Montréal QC.

Prior to moving to Montréal, Scott was part of the Vancouver Community College music program from 2016-19 and completed his degree in composition for contemporary music while performing and composing as a member of the VCC gamelan ensemble (Gamelan Si Pawit) as well as the VCC Latin jazz ensemble.

As a bassist Scott has toured and performed throughout Canada, the USA and Southeast Asia and performed in venues such as Le Centre des Arts du Spectacle (Vancouver BC ), Richards On Richards (Vancouver), Le Théâtre ACT (Maple Ridge en Colombie-Britannique), The Cloverdale Rodeo (Colombie-Britannique), le Festival international de jazz de Vancouver, le Festival Fusion de Surrey (B.C) Quai Des Brumes (Montréal QC) and a house gig at Chilkoot Charlies (Anchorage AK, États-Unis).


   Scott has appeared on CBC TV and the Shaw Cable network. He has also shared the stage with such notables as Swollen Members, Leon Russell, Blue Oyster Cult, Jefferson Starship, Honeymoon Suite, Prism, and Nick Gilder w/Sweeney Todd.

-Sideman bassist and composer for hire in various other projects, both studio and live.

2022 


Composed the soundtrack/score for the film “ My Thoughts Exactly “ which was featured on the worldwide film festival circuit in 2022, including the Vancouver International Film Festival (VIFF).
